At Home With Our Faith takes home 2006 honors

"Smartly designed," "perfectly aimed," "inviting on every page": These are just a few of the nice things judges had to say about At Home With Our Faith at two recent national newsletter awards competitions . . .

At Home With Our Faith took top honors for excellence in 2005 from both the Catholic Press Association and the Associated Church Press. At Home With Our Faith received the first place award in the General Excellence Category from the Catholic Press Association and Best in Class Award of Excellence from the Associated Church Press. ACP judges commented: "“This is a smartly designed newsletter, inviting on every page. The writing throughout is excellent, with a blend of substantial articles and thoughtful nuggets. The headline writer is in fine form.”

And judges for the CPA said: "Mary Lynn Hendrickson combines both home and faith in her writing. Lessons of Lent, the significance of Holy Week, and some good advice for Catholic parents are all seen through the prism of her own experience."

In addition to our overall awards, columnist Catherine O'Connell-Cahill earned second place for Best Regular Column from the CPA.
