Reflection on Hope

Hope comes softly and often unannounced. It makes no grand displays, but changes everything.

Hope is one of God’s most tender gifts.

There is no way we can earn it; all we can do is open our heart–even a crack–and it will flow into us and make the barren wasteland fresh and green once more. Hope knows that there is ground to stand on, a hand to hold, a love that’s present even when all that is good seems to have vanished.

Have confidence. Place your worries, fears, and even despair before the loving eyes of God. Open your heart to hope.
